William Adams, AmeriCorps Massachusetts Promise Fellow Middle School Program Manager
William is serving as the Massachusetts Promise Fellow, Middle School Program Manager, for the 2016-17 year. William joined the Tutoring plus team in 2016 as the group facilitator for the pilot session of the new Tutoring Plus boys’ group, which youth participants named “Men 4 Life: Real Talk.” As a recent 2016 graduate from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a degree in Social Psychology, William brings his unique array of knowledge and skills to the Tutoring Plus team. With a passion for youth work and education, William hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in public health or child psychology.
Molly Wyman, Highland Street AmeriCorps Ambassador of Mentoring Elementary School Program Manager
Molly is currently serving as the Highland Street AmeriCorps Ambassador of Mentoring, Elementary Program Manager, for the 2016-17 year. Molly joined the Tutoring Plus staff in January 2015 as a Site Coordinator. She graduated from Lesley University in 2016 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Expressive Arts Therapy. In her role, Molly manages the elementary school tutoring program, supports the recruitment and training of volunteers, and supports efforts to increase volunteer diversity.
Molly developed her passion for helping youth while teaching karate in her hometown of Grafton, MA. Molly interned at Girls’ LEAP, where she helped to empower young girl by teaching them ways to stay physically and mentally safe. She also worked at the YWCA Tanner Residence in Cambridge, helping the population of homeless women. In her future, Molly hopes to become a Clinical Child Psychologist. In Molly’s free time, she enjoys practicing Martial Arts, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
