Meet Sara Siegel Our January 2017 Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Sara – our January 2017 Volunteer Spotlight! Sara is a third year volunteer with our one-on-one high school program at Roosevelt Towers.

After graduating Washington University in St. Louis and working at women’s health organizations in NYC, Sara headed to Burlington, Vermont to earn a Masters in Public Administration at UVM. Sara came to Boston in 2012 and currently works as Program Director of Mass Poetry, whose mission is to bring poetry to all people of Massachusetts. You can find her on stage at ImprovBoston in Central Square, where her sketch comedy group, Mister Bismuth, regularly performs.

“I feel lucky to have been able to work with the same student going on three years now. It’s been incredible watching his interest in certain areas deepen as well as see his homework habits improve, from a 15-year-old sophomore to an 18-year-old senior who is figuring out what comes next. I’m also so glad he considers me a friend!”
