POEM: Justice

I have a dream today

Of brotherhood born from faith

May time come upon us,

"Little black girls and boys

Will join hands with little white girls and boys,"

As brothers and sisters

They will play as equals

And for one's skin he won't be reviled

This is our hope,

And this is the faith

We will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair

With a stone of hope,

For the time has come

To work together like ants gathering food before winter hits

“To go to jail together,

To struggle together

To pray together,”

From every mountainside, let freedom ring like a bell
